Lead Based Paint Testing & Risk Analysis for Bothell Homes
Bothell has a newer housing stock than Seattle. However, there are still many pre-1978 homes within the city limits. The Washington State Dept of Health classifies Bothell as a 1-3 risk level. Note, this can be a bit misleading as it implies all homes have a 10-30% risk. Older homes would have a near 100% risk and new homes a near zero risk. As always, these maps are just a general guideline and should never be used to determine whether it’s worth testing your specific home.

In general, each subsequently older decade prior to 1978 produces a higher likelihood of lead based paint. The graph below gives an approximate number of the homes built by their respective year. The latter half of the graph is relevant to lead based paint risk.
Success Stories
"The crew got started just before 10:00 and just finished up. Everything went really well. All the guys were very careful not to disturb anything and kept the door closed so our cats wouldn't run out. They were all so considerate of me since I'm still sick -- really they could not have been nicer! I really appreciated that."
